Tonkatsu Kairi is a well-known, reasonably priced tonkatsu restaurant cherished by locals. The tonkatsu is consistently high-quality and served in generous portions, ensuring complete satisfaction with every visit. The casual and friendly atmosphere makes it a great spot, and the extensive side menu allows it to function as an izakaya as well. This is why it has been loved by the community for so long.

When you go down to the basement, a surprisingly spacious area unfolds, creating a calming atmosphere. The tonkatsu has a stable texture, and I can fully enjoy the sweetness of the fat, which makes me satisfied. The fillet is bite-sized and easy to eat, and the portion is generous, which is delightful. The shredded cabbage is thin and has a good texture, and the ample amount is pleasing. The pickles and small side dishes provide a nice accent, creating a good balance for the entire set meal. The rice is served in a generous portion, but I can request a smaller amount, allowing me to enjoy the right quantity for myself.
