The freshwater eels are directly farmed and managed by the Pungcheon Freshwater Eel Farming Cooperative, Gwangyeon Fisheries. We only sell the highest quality domestic native Japanese eel species. The standard for 1kg of freshwater eel is 600g of fillet after processing the live eel's head, bones, skin, and internal organs.
After purchasing eel at the seafood corner, it will be grilled for you in the restaurant. Charcoal and side dishes are prepared, and the cost is 4,000 won for 1 adult (2,000 won for elementary school students).
The head and bones of the freshwater eel from Gwangyeonsusan are simmered for over 50 hours after being cleaned. It is served in a large earthen pot with a special seasoning unique to eel restaurants. This is the royal dish of health, Jangsam Soup.
