A restaurant with traditional soba and a cozy atmosphere

Sekimoto is a traditional soba shop nestled in a residential area of Kiba, known for its rustic charm and warm hospitality. The dark, thin soba noodles are characterized by their smooth texture, allowing you to enjoy the rich aroma along with the flavor of the broth. It's a place where you can savor a heartwarming bowl while experiencing the nostalgic ambiance of the Showa era.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, lively with locals and workers. The soba noodles are thin and have a smooth texture that feels pleasant, with a rich aroma and delicious taste. The dipping sauce has a strong umami flavor but is not harsh, pairing well with the tempura bits for a delightful taste. The pork cutlet in the katsudon is thick and tender, combining well with the creamy texture of the egg for a satisfying experience. The rice is well-soaked in a slightly sweet broth, and it's nice to have pickles, miso soup, and salad included. I also noticed ramen and duck miso dipping noodles, and the attentive service makes for a comfortable stay.
