Senri Shabu-Chin Abeno Harukas Filiale

Produced in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture. The name 'Platinum' originates from the local writer Kenji Miyazawa, who compared delicious pork to the blessings of nature in his works. By providing mineral water sourced from the underground water of the Ou Mountains, the meat becomes finely textured, resulting in a tender and moist mouthfeel with a sweetness in the fat. Most of this pork is shipped exclusively for commercial use and is favored in Italian and other Western-style restaurants. It is highly popular and often in short supply.

Produced in Yanbaru, Okinawa Prefecture. The Agu pig is a native breed known as a black pig that has existed in Okinawa for a long time, but it has issues with economic efficiency due to slow growth and a low number of offspring. As a result, the number of people raising them decreased, bringing them to the brink of extinction. In response, those who considered preserving the Agu breed crossbred it with the American Duroc breed and the British Berkshire breed to create a new pig. This is the Yanbaru Island Pork. 'Yanbaru' refers to the northern part of Okinawa Island, which is characterized by many hills and forests, making it the region with the best natural environment on the island. The Yanbaru Island Pork, raised using the natural water of Yanbaru and special feed (mugwort, seaweed, garlic), combines the advantages of the three breeds. It has a fine texture and beautiful marbling, with a high overall fat content, and its melt-in-your-mouth flavor is well-regarded.
