The charm of a hidden Chinese restaurant

Mikakino Hanten is a hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant nestled in a narrow alley. It is particularly renowned for its tender and delicious pork tempura, and the mixed fried rice is praised for being non-greasy and the best they've ever had. The warm and prompt service is also one of its appealing features.

The interior is of a moderate size, centered around tables, creating a calm atmosphere. Even when alone, I was smoothly guided to a seat, and the cold water was served promptly, showing great attention to detail. The five-ingredient fried rice has a light texture, and the balance of ingredients is excellent, which I really like. The soy sauce ramen has a light and clear flavor, and the noodles have a pleasant elasticity that makes them easy to slurp. The gyoza is rich in the flavors of chives and meat, allowing me to appreciate the quality of handmade food. The mapo rice has a gentle spiciness that makes it easy to eat, and the takeout bento is also appealing.
