A beloved local long-established Chinese restaurant

Since its establishment in 1988, Teppoukin has been a cherished long-standing Chinese restaurant among locals. In the calm interior, you can savor delicious Chinese dishes such as Mapo Ramen. The Mapo Ramen, in particular, offers a perfect harmony of medium-thick noodles and broth, and you can enhance the flavor with habanero or Sichuan pepper, which is an added charm. A wonderful space is also available where you can enjoy handmade sweets.

The exterior has a Western style, but upon entering, you are surprised by the warm atmosphere of logs. The menu is very extensive, and I was tempted by everything from classic Chinese dishes to desserts. I chose the hot and spicy mapo tofu set, which paired well with rice due to its moderate spiciness and richness. My companion ordered the thick sauce yakisoba, which was also packed with ingredients, and the flavors of the vegetables and seafood were well infused. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the smooth sweetness of the almond tofu was perfect for dessert. The tatami seating is spacious, and the staff are friendly, making it a place where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere.
