We were taken by a very regular customer. It is in the same family as the "Meat Bar" in Musashikosugi, which I posted about the other day, and is different from the "Peking" barbecue restaurant in Hirama. The order is left to the regulars. Peking is cabbage, and after the ritual of mashing it with sauce and cutting it into bite-sized pieces, we wait for the meat. A plate the size of a serving of foroje meat appears. It is grilled in a gas roaster and served with rolling cabbage. All parts of the meat are recommended, but when it comes to the Peking series, the loin (harami) is definitely highly recommended. Each piece is as big as a steak and very satisfying. When I go to Beijing, I think that the tongue and loin alone may be enough. There were four of us and the bill was only 5,000 yen per person. It is a little bit difficult to get to along the Nambu line, but it is definitely worth the trip. Don't forget to bring a garbage bag when you visit because of the smoke!
