Kamameshi Hamakawa is a specialty shop known for its kamameshi and yakitori in Tsurumi. With a warm, family-run atmosphere, you can enjoy exquisite yakitori with a choice of salt or sauce, as well as flavorful kamameshi based on kombu dashi. Additionally, the kamameshi served in ceramic dishes for takeout is also popular.

This is a well-known kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot) restaurant in the local area, and the aroma of the freshly made dishes is irresistible. They cook the rice after you place your order, allowing you to enjoy fluffy rice and the umami of kelp broth. The eel is tender, and the sweet and savory seasoning pairs perfectly with the rice. The grilled chicken is also a must-try, and I appreciate that they ask for your preference between salt and sauce. The pickled vegetables have a great flavor, and you can comfortably spend time alone at the counter seats. Delivery and takeout are convenient, and the ceramic containers for takeout make great souvenirs.
