We made an appointment to visit this apple pie store. The owner was baking pies in a white coat and a young woman was serving customers at the counter. It was exciting to see the operation up close. The apple pies are made with red yams from Nagano Prefecture, which have a sweet and sour taste. The sweetness was moderate and gentle. The an-choco pie also contained koshi-an (sweet bean paste) and chocolate, and was accented with almond slices. The Ogura pie contained grains of sweet bean paste and had a moderate sweetness.
