This traditional sushi restaurant quietly stands in a residential area, right along the street just after getting off the bus. Upon entering, you are greeted by Japanese-style lighting and a beckoning cat figurine, creating a comforting atmosphere. At the counter, you can closely observe the chef's skillful techniques, and the tables and tatami rooms are spacious and comfortable. The standard sushi features thickly sliced toppings resting on fluffy rice, making it very easy to eat due to the chef's meticulous knife work. The raw shirasu (young sardines) on gunkan sushi and the crunchy white fish were refreshing, with the aroma of shiso leaves and yuzu gradually spreading, leaving a strong impression. With the sound of the television as background music, the chef's gentle personality and the variety of sake made me feel that this place perfectly embodies the concept of a local retreat.
