We had lunch at Ikkoan's cafe. I wanted to try their famous bean-jam buns, but they were closed because the bakery had closed. Instead, I had their seasonal okowa (rice with green peas, my favorite kind of rice), which was very tasty. However, I ordered oshiruko (sweet red bean paste) because I thought I had to have red bean paste when I came here. I had never had oshiruko like this! It made my mouth water, so I ordered matcha (powdered green tea) and was very impressed with the bite of koshi-an (sweetened red bean paste) that came with it! I enjoyed the anko, but next time I would like to try the ultimate anpan that I missed out on.
