Izu-Shimoda Seiryu-so] 2019.03.21 Accommodation Abalone♥️ I have never had such a soft abalone grilled on the dance floor! I didn't put butter on it, just squeezed lemon. It was delicious! I had no idea that this was a long-established ryokan, but I booked it out of the blue, and it was a really nice inn that I truly felt good about. This time we stayed in a special 100m2 room. There was a large outdoor bath in the room, and we soaked in it for hours. I had a beer, read a book, etc.... The garden is so beautiful that you want to look at it all the time. In the morning we could see wild birds bathing and grooming themselves from the bath. The bush warblers were making a cute cry, "kekyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyokeyoke," and I wondered if they were practicing their calls. I have been fond of the Shimoda area since my college days, skipping the crowded Atami. I'd like to spend a few nights there by myself someday. I'll work hard again.
