I wandered in when I was hungry near Otaru Station. The long, narrow interior, abundantly made of wood, has a counter and tables, and looking down at the station from the window lifts my spirits. The seafood bowl was packed with ingredients and paired perfectly with the freshly cooked rice. The seafood tempura bowl, topped with shrimp and organic salmon, had a light batter, and the richness of the salmon spread delightfully in my mouth. I also enjoyed fresh sea urchin from Rishiri and Rebun, which had no alcohol smell and a melting sweetness that filled my mouth. Even the miso soup was delicious, and I felt that it was a wonderful place where I could fully enjoy the blessings of the sea.
