This is a small counter-only shop located in a narrow alley a short walk from the station. With its retro wooden interior, I felt a nostalgic atmosphere the moment I walked in. A lively mother runs the place by herself, and she is great at conversation, making it easy to chat. The oden, including daikon and chikuwa that have absorbed the broth, has a gentle flavor that makes it hard to put down my chopsticks. There are also snacks like grilled eggplant and itawasa, all delicious and perfect for pairing with drinks. The regulars are friendly, and I was happy to be warmly welcomed even as a first-time visitor.
