Genji] Less than 10 minutes walk from Tamade Station on Osaka Metro Yotsubashi Line. Mr. Motokawa, who is famous as a chef with absolute taste, makes our dishes. The popular menu includes Japanese, Western, Chinese, ethnic, and everything in between. There are three types of bento: 6 items for 1,500 yen, 10 items for 2,200 yen, and 14 items (Saga Beef Amiyaki Special) for 5,000 yen! (All prices exclude tax). Since I had the most popular 10-course bento last time, I decided to go all out and try the 5,000 yen bento this time! The price is more than double compared to the 10-course menu, but the sashimi platter and grilled Saga beef are well worth the cost! The Saga beef steak is too good to be true. Next time I will have dinner! Genji is located in Tsukanishi, Osaka, a well-known restaurant for creative cuisine. My parents' house is close by, so my whole family used to like it so much that we used to go there at least once a month! This time, we decided to have lunch for the first time in a long time! We ordered the Genji bento, the restaurant's No. 1 recommended and most popular lunch box with 10 items for 2,200 yen (excluding tax)! The restaurant was packed for a Saturday lunchtime! There was a lot of customer turnover! The huge open kitchen is still the same! We were told at the beginning that it would take a while to arrive, so we waited about 30 minutes for our food to arrive... The waiter was very attentive to us during the wait, so I guess it is not usual to wait this long. The dishes were bright looking and I got the impression that many of them were made with fish. The dishes were all very inventive, including fried dishes, sashimi, simmered dishes, etc., so that you would never get bored of them! The taste is also excellent! I really think this is worth the wait. Ten side dishes, a second helping of rice, and miso soup are also included, so you will be full. The mini size bento contains 6 dishes for 1600 yen (excluding tax), which is good for women! For the more gutsy men, there is a luxurious version (14 dishes) with steak for 5,000 yen (excluding tax), which is also available! Chef Motokawa's restaurant with absolute taste Cuisine includes everything from Japanese, Western, Chinese, and ethnic cuisine. This time we were served a luxurious 2-tier Genji bento. It is rare to have a bento box filled with such a variety of high quality ingredients! I've only had it as a gift. The main course, Saga beef steak, is really delicious! It also made my fatigue from work go away! By the way, this is the 2-tier, 5,000 yen without tax There is also a single tier for 2,000 yen without tax! Thanks for the treat!
