A beloved soba restaurant in the local community

Suehiro Chijodai has been cherished by the local community for many years. The interior exudes a Showa-era charm typical of a neighborhood soba shop, but the flavors exceed expectations, especially the matcha soba, which is characterized by its deep taste. The dipping sauce is rich and delicious, and you can enjoy not only soba but also a variety of hearty rice bowls. With a casual atmosphere and consistent deliciousness, this restaurant offers a pleasant experience every time you visit.

When I casually stopped by, the old-fashioned and calm interior was incredibly comfortable. The freshly fried cutlet that was served first was piping hot, and the balance of sweetness and umami was exquisite. The thin soba noodles had a light texture that went down smoothly, with just the right amount of chewiness. The green tea soba was also rich in aroma, and with each bite, a subtle bitterness and sweetness spread. The dipping sauce had a strong umami flavor amidst its richness, making it a perfect match for the soba. Even the creamy soba broth served after the meal was delicious, and I couldn't help but enjoy it down to the last drop.
