When you enter the shop located in the back alley, it is more spacious and calming than you would imagine. Just seeing the handwritten recommendations of the day on the sign at the entrance raises your expectations. The simmered golden eye snapper has thick, tender flesh, and the slightly sweet sauce makes you want to eat more rice. The assorted sashimi is incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the umami in each slice. The seared bonito and small bowls of seasonal vegetables are also substantial, and they pair perfectly with sake. With a warm atmosphere where local regulars gather and carefully prepared dishes, it's a place that naturally brings a smile to your face.
