Hozentei has the history of the Owari Tokugawa family as its background. The name comes from a plaque painted by the 14th generation of the Owari Tokugawa family, Prince Keisho. The restaurant opened in 2010 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Tokugawa Art Museum and the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Nagoya government. The restaurant offers a rich cultural experience along with traditional kaiseki cuisine in a corner of the museum, which has cultural assets.
