Entering a small yakitori shop located in a back alley of Sendai Asakusa, the space with only a modestly lit counter seat is very calming. The gentle owner grills the skewers alone, and the pleasant aroma of charcoal wafts through the air. The fluffy hand-formed tsukune has a rich sauce that complements the sweetness of the meat, making it hard to put down the chopsticks. The bonjiri, hatsu, and sunagimo are also cooked to perfection, allowing you to enjoy each unique texture. The potato salad and simmered small dishes served as appetizers are carefully prepared, adding color between the skewers. This is a cozy place where you can slowly savor beer and sake.
