A restaurant famous for its fragrant hand-made soba

Located near Hankyu Arashiyama Station, Hozan is an inviting establishment where you can enjoy fragrant hand-made soba. It is recommended to savor the soba with salt to enhance its flavor. The interior is spacious and features a warm wooden decor, with seats by the window offering a view of the garden greenery. After your meal, soba-yu (the hot water used to cook the soba) is served, allowing you to indulge in a pleasant aftertaste.

This hole-in-the-wall restaurant, about a two-minute walk from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, offered a satisfying combination of a mini-tendon set and cold soba noodles. The tempura was crispy, especially the zucchini. The handmade thinly cut soba noodles were fragrant and the texture of the noodles was good. The restaurant has an open-air counter seating where you can enjoy your meal with a view. I recommend this restaurant because it is reasonably priced and delicious.
