Alps is a wonderful yakitori restaurant that has been revitalized, located just a 2-minute walk from Hitotsubashi Gakuen Station. The interior exudes a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, and the warm hospitality welcomes visitors. In addition to the exquisite grilled yakitori and meat-wrapped vegetable skewers, you can also enjoy select sake. The yakitori restaurant located in a narrow alley just outside the north exit of the station has a counter at its center, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The chicken thighs and tsukune grilled over charcoal are fragrant with sauce, making each bite a delight. The crunchy cartilage and chicken skin with ponzu are also irresistibly delicious, making it easy to enjoy some drinks. In particular, the daily special of meat-wrapped vegetable skewers features a perfect combination of tender meat and fresh local vegetables. The selection of sake is enjoyable, and I find myself excited while choosing a chilled nama sake. It's a pleasure to spend time here, chatting with the friendly staff while Showa-era pop music plays in the background.
