There are many dishes made with local ingredients, and each one is very satisfying. In particular, the raw beef from Ie Island pairs well with a slightly sweet soy sauce and grated garlic, allowing you to fully appreciate its umami flavor. The local specialty, squid ink somen champuru, is truly delicious and makes you want to keep eating. Once you start on the fried mijun, you can't stop. The fu champuru, island shallots, and stir-fried shuu also have great flavors, allowing you to enjoy the scent of the sea. The portions are generous, but I feel reassured knowing that I was taught about dishes that are easy to eat even for one person.
