When I sat at the counter, I was served homemade potato salad as an appetizer, and I felt relieved by its simple flavor. Next, the five kinds of obanzai I ordered were colorful, featuring red konnyaku, spicy simmered pork with bamboo shoots, and each dish was infused with dashi. I couldn't help but smile at the thoughtful gesture of serving the eggplant simmered in broth while it was still warm. The fluffy dashimaki tamago overflowed when I inserted my chopsticks, and its refined umami spread throughout my mouth. The soba I had to finish was fragrant and had a good texture, so delicious that I wanted to drink the dipping sauce to the last drop. I was completely satisfied with the taste, presentation, and attentive service, and I was able to spend time wrapped in the warmth of Japanese hospitality.
