Izu-Shimoda, Ogawaya] 2019.03.21 ✳︎Unaju ✳︎Shiroyaki ✳︎Kimo nimono This is an eel restaurant in Shimoda where you have to make a reservation and specify the time in order to have a handsome eel for lunch, which is handled, steamed and grilled after receiving an order. There was a fish tank of eel in the restaurant and water was constantly flowing. The eel laid out on the eel bed was very glossy, the eel meat was fine and plump, and the eel was really delicious and felt like a river in a good way. Kimono nimono is also excellent without any habit, and is completely different from the gnarly liver! The cab driver told us that the previous owner was a very particular and stubborn person, but it seems that the restaurant is now being run by the relatively young current owner. I was glad to have a delicious eel! This place is good. The sauce was not too sweet and I liked it very much. By the way, the shiroyaki came with rice, wasabi and soy sauce. The rice was also tasty with firm grains, and the old men next to us said the rice was good. ☺️
