Sitting at the counter, I naturally struck up a conversation with the customer next to me, and a warm atmosphere flowed through the shop. The owner, who is from Tokyo, has extensive knowledge of spirits, and just listening to him talk about highballs and craft gin was exciting. That day, I ordered grilled chicken skewers and melt-in-your-mouth braised pork, and the aroma was so enticing that I couldn't put my chopsticks down. The dried mackerel, rich in fat, had a light aftertaste that made me want to order more. Enjoying the refreshing aroma of Kyoto gin with tonic paired perfectly with the dishes. Both the drinks and the snacks felt like they were a step above, making it a beloved place I want to drop by casually.
