As you enter the red building directly in front of the station, you are immediately enveloped in a Showa-era atmosphere. It’s enjoyable to take your time choosing while looking at the signs plastered all over the walls. The scallop butter is packed with plenty of pieces, and the aroma of the savory butter is fantastic. The parent-and-child rice bowl, finished with a slightly sweet touch, is fluffy and hard to put down your chopsticks. The miso soup, which contains red seaweed and wheat gluten, has a gentle dashi flavor that is comforting. Being close to the station and offering quick service, this diner is a great place to stop by and recharge during your travels.
