Since it was GW, I guess it was inevitable that service would be slow, but I was really disappointed when the snacks we asked for after dinner were brought first and our order of food, which was ready on the serving table, was left for more than 10 minutes without being served and then brought to the table as it was. We had tempura, curry, and soup. As soon as we started eating, we were served a parfait with ice cream. I was really disappointed when they brought us a parfait with ice cream right after we started eating. I told them that the ice cream would melt, but they didn't seem to understand.

The Japanese food was okay, but the western style food was not good. A lot of group guests came and it was uncomfortable. It was cold and hard every time the door was opened. The restaurant itself was very clean and the atmosphere of the premises was nice. Wataboshi was delicious.

I was at the reception about 15 minutes before my appointment. I stood and waited, but no one approached me. The cashier next to me was crowded with shoppers and diners. I waited for about 8 minutes and asked for help. Finally, they took care of it. I told them I had a reservation. The seat we were shown was a large table with a lot of empty space, but the cash register was crowded and people were standing and waiting with their backs to the table. A corner seat at a large table with people standing and waiting. I was given a seat at the corner of the table where the next person waiting for me was sitting without being shown where to sit. It was the worst! I asked the employee who showed me to the table if I wanted to sit here and he said "No". Someone else who was waiting was sitting here. I said, "It's crowded, isn't it? I said, "Yes, this is it! he said. I asked if the terrace was available. He brushed me off. I had commented when I made the reservation that I would like a seat with a view of the garden if possible, but it depends on the situation and I wish she would have asked me. I was looking forward to coming from Osaka and was very disappointed. I was so disappointed that I cancelled my reservation and left. I love Kyoto restaurants and heard that this one was very nice, but I will never go there again.
