Hakataya" is definitely the name of Imagawa-yaki in Machiya, Arakawa-ku. Founded in 1959, this famous restaurant has been a favorite in Machiya for over 60 years. Sometimes I have a craving for it irresistibly! The 140 yen (including tax) for a really filling sweet bean paste is perfect. (It was 120 yen until a while ago, but it was rather too cheap.) When it comes to Imagawa-yaki in Machiya, Arakawa-ku, you can't go wrong with "Hakataya"! It is very rare to find such a dense red bean paste for only 120 yen. It is also a good souvenir.
