Located inside the roadside station Gran Terrace Chikusei, I was able to sit at a table near the window. It is a restaurant from the Suginoya group, and the popular simmered udon was very good. The miso simmered udon has a rich broth, and thanks to the portable gas stove, it can be enjoyed hot until the end. The spicy miso simmered udon is also rich in flavor, making you want to drink the soup. The udon for children is soy sauce-based, and there are jelly, a drink bar, and toy exchange tickets, which brings them joy. The Sakura set includes tempura, chawanmushi, a salad of Chikusei vegetables, a choice of small rice bowl, half udon, and dessert, making it a colorful and satisfying meal.
