A friendly yakitori restaurant One of my friends lives nearby and we had a New Year's party with other business associates. It is a 3-minute walk from Tsukamoto station, where various restaurants are lined up. The restaurant has a counter at the entrance and a tatami room for about 10 people in the back, which can accommodate up to 20 people in total. Therefore, it is not a banquet place for a large number of people, but for a gathering of 4 to 5 friends. This time, we ordered the nabe course with all-you-can-drink for 3,500 yen, but the volume was more than enough for a full course of fried and yakitori dishes. You can also order "Shirokimo (white gizzard)," which is only occasionally available. The fresh chicken is grilled over charcoal, making it juicy and free of unpleasant smells. The chicken sashimi is also fresh and has no unpleasant smell. The additional dish of "Shirokimo (white giblets)" has an excellent taste. I wanted to have another plate, but they were out of it... The drinks selection includes shochu, and I personally would have liked to have more sake, but I am not dissatisfied with it. I finished off the nabe with a bowl of zosui (rice porridge), and I was full. This time, since my friend often comes here, I was a little selfish and extended the all-you-can-drink time! It was a Friday when we visited, and the restaurant was packed with many of our neighbors. The owner of the restaurant is a karate fighter and a disciple of a K-1 fighter. There was a beckoning cat on the counter that he had given to the owner. His son is currently studying in New Zealand playing rugby. The owner may look a little scary, but he is fun to talk to, and those who like martial arts and rugby may also enjoy such topics. By the way, he says that his name is "Sumino," which is exactly the name for a charcoal grill yakitori restaurant.
