I stopped by a Korean grocery store and kimchi shop located in the mountains while on a drive. The red banner and the chili pepper decorations on the roof are good landmarks, and there is a parking lot next to it, which is reassuring. The napa cabbage kimchi has a solid spiciness and richness, and it leaves a satisfying aftertaste. The green onion kimchi is rare and makes eating it enjoyable. The chanja has a strong garlic flavor and a punch, which goes well with warm rice. It has a depth of flavor that cannot be found in store-bought versions, and I was also pleased with the complimentary Korean seaweed.
