A udon restaurant that combines the charm of a long-established establishment with new challenges

On the way back from the oze marshlands, we stopped by "udon restaurant mumon." it was once a soba noodle shop, but has since been relaunched as a udon restaurant, where you can enjoy fragrant hand-made soba and their proudly smooth udon. the beautiful view from the restaurant, which is built along the mountain stream, is also one of its attractions.

I enjoyed lunch in a quiet restaurant by the stream. The first dish that arrived was tempura, featuring mountain delicacies like maitake mushrooms and kogomi ferns, which were crispy and impressive. The handmade udon noodles had a smooth texture and a chewy feel that made it hard to stop eating. The dipping sauce for the udon was rich and mellow, and when mixed with the boiled water provided later, it became even more flavorful. The limited handmade soba noodles were also aromatic, and the sweetness spread with each bite, bringing a sense of happiness. After returning from Oze, I stopped by and was satisfied both in my heart and stomach with the delicious food and the view from the window.
