Celebrating 400 Reviews I made it there alone amongst all my uncles! First of all, I'm going to talk about 12 lines that have nothing to do with cooking, so if you're not interested, please ignore me. Osaka is No. 1 in tonkatsu and hamburger steak ranking, and No. 2 in tonkatsu ranking nationwide (as of November 13, 2011). I went to Hiroki, which I have been curious about for a long time! I actually knew Hiroki before I started the food log! I was surprised to find out how popular this place is! I was surprised to find out how popular this place is! It's like, "Oh my God, there's a popular restaurant in a place like this! Then, in June 2011, my friend's baby was born and I had a chance to go there. I went to the front of the store, parked my bike, and was about to go there, but... I was so excited that I didn't have the courage to jump into the crowd of almost all the customers.... Then, in October, I had a chance to see the baby! I thought, "This time! I received a text message from a friend saying, "Let's have a takoyaki party for lunch! But she didn't know I was going to Hiroki, and the next day she said, "If you can't make it, we can have dinner at night" (T▽T). So I took my friend's word for it and went. First, we parked our bikes on the gravel road. You can force 4 or 5 cars to park, but they will be packed in front of you. While you are eating, the waiter will ask you to move your car. This can't be helped - we'll cooperate with them. It's just before 1:00 p.m. on a weekday, and when I muster up the courage to open the door, it's almost always an old man! There are about 10 seats at the counter and 2 tables for 4 people. Of course, since I am alone, I sit at the counter, between the man and the man. The door was heavy, but once you enter, it is totally fine (lol). When I came here, I wanted to try the shrimp cream croquette, So I decided to have the special loin cutlet & shrimp cream croquette set meal for 1,040 yen! When an order is placed, you can hear a thumping sound! They must be pounding the meat every time an order comes in! I thought there was a lot of time for frying, I was watching the entertainment news on TV, so I didn't mind. First, miso soup, rice and pickles were served, and then came the pork cutlet! The cream croquettes were fried and brought to the table later, so I guess they didn't make it together! Let's start with the pork cutlet! It is quite thick and filled with demi-glace sauce! Let's take a bite, It is crispy and juicy, and the fat is sweet and delicious! The demi-glace sauce is not too thick, but rather light. It's not too thick, but not overpowering, so you can enjoy the pork cutlet. Then comes the shrimp cream croquette! They are plump, round, and big, and look delicious! Break it in half with your chopsticks and the cream will flow out! Oh my God! This cream croquette is so delicious! Smooth and rich, but with a great aftertaste. I have never had such a delicious cream croquette! I am so happy! I was full by the time I finished! I asked for a small amount of rice from the beginning, but I was full! This volume, this taste, and this price is too good! I want to go back for fried oysters in winter! I heard that there are not enough delicious oysters this year due to the earthquake! Maybe they will finish early, so if you are aiming for fried oysters, you'd better hurry! Also, they don't seem to be open much at night. You might want to inquire or check their website.
