Sitting at the counter, I feel relieved as the cheerful chef and gentle proprietress welcome me. The first dish served is champon, piled high with vegetables, and the soup infused with the scent of the sea is irresistible. Next, the sushi is small but incredibly fresh, with the balance between the red sea bream and seared salmon and the rice being exquisite. The thin rolls are also meticulously prepared, making it hard to put down my chopsticks. After the meal, I can enjoy dessert and coffee, leaving me feeling satisfied. I really enjoyed this combination of being able to leisurely savor both delicious sushi and champon in a Showa retro-style interior.
