It's a small shop right by the station, and as soon as you enter, you can smell the wood from the counter, which feels nice. The handwritten sign and the indigo noren (curtain) are lovely, giving a sense of the seasons. For lunch, there are nigiri, seafood chirashi, and bara chirashi, and it also comes with salad, small dishes, miso soup, and coffee. The recommended salad and homemade tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet) are very delicious. The live scallops, horse mackerel, fried fish bones, marinated mackerel, salt lemon and seared nigiri, and the single piece of anago (conger eel) were all satisfying. The conversations over the counter were enjoyable, and you can really feel the skills honed at a famous restaurant, as well as the richness of dishes beyond sushi.
