It was surprisingly normal and tasty! 2015,06 I went out for lunch while I was out of town for a while! I'm not sure how long it will take me to get back to the office... After thinking about what I could eat right away, I came to this place, Roo's in India! Last time, my partner took me out, but this was my first visit! The place is a 10-minute walk from Higashimikuni Station. The yellow signboard is conspicuous, so you can easily recognize it. Inside the restaurant, there is a counter and table seating, which is a common style of curry restaurant. Lunch time (OPEN~15:00) Hand-prepared loin cutlet curry: 800 yen → 680 yen Minced pork cutlet curry: 700 yen → 630 yen Lunch salad 100 yen I ordered the minced pork cutlet since I had the pork cutlet curry last time. Sure enough, it was served right away! The curry was light with a hint of spice. There were some very hot spices on the table, but I didn't have the courage to venture into them. The minced pork cutlet must have been deep-fried. It's not crispy, but it's curry, so I guess it's okay. It's soft and doesn't have much flavor... At least I was able to eat it quickly, so that's good. I guess I prefer to make it by hand... Now I have to go home... 2013,12 While I was working, my partner bought this for lunch! I was having curry for lunch here and thought I'd buy it because it's surprisingly good... Thank you very much! We will fill the office with the aroma of curry. I'm sure it's hard for those of you still at work... Of course I knew about this place. But what is it? I couldn't bring myself to go there... The menu looks like this Handmade Filet Katsu Curry Handmade Chicken Katsu Curry Hand-Forged Loin Cutlet Curry Hand-Fried Shrimp Curry Hand-Fried Fried Chicken Curry Shrimp Fry Curry Eggplant Curry Cheese Curry Popeye Curry Corn Salad Egg Salad I'm sure there are many more. All the curries are available for take-out! The one he bought for me was a hand-prepared loin cutlet curry for 680 yen! How should we eat this curry container? Should I scoop the rice with a spoon and dip it into the roux? Or scoop the roux and pour it over the rice... I ate with the former and mixed the rice with the roux when there was not much left! The curry is very dry. The spicy flavor comes slowly after you eat it! But it is not spicy at all. The roast pork cutlet is just like the ones sold in supermarkets. It has a certain texture, and it's not battered like homemade, lol. But it's hard to eat the loin cutlet with a spoon. The restaurant has a counter and tables, which I could see from the outside. Looks like there are a lot of businessmen at lunch time. The food was surprisingly good, so maybe I'll try eating in next time? But this week, two kasu udon restaurants will open in Higashimikuni!
