Delicious Iwana Tempura Soba to Savor

This soba shop is beloved by locals, especially known for its rare Iwana tempura soba. The tempura is astonishingly crispy, and the combination with the fluffy flesh of the Iwana is exquisite. The matcha salt and spicy soba dipping sauce enhance the flavors of both the tempura and the soba, making each bite a delightful dilemma of which to savor more.

The soba noodles are thin and have a firm texture, cooked to perfection. The tempura of iwana (char) has a light and crispy batter, the flesh is fluffy, and the bones are not bothersome, pairing well with both the dipping sauce and matcha salt. The duck nanban is loaded with ingredients like green onions and burdock, not too greasy, making it easy to eat. The wild vegetable and mushroom soba comes with tempura bits on a separate plate, allowing you to enjoy the broth hot until the end. After the meal, pouring in a strong soba broth brings out a wonderful aroma and is very comforting. The spacious parking lot and the non-smoking policy are also appreciated, and there are both tatami and table seating available.
