I stopped by on my way back from a mountain walk and was immediately healed by the calming interior that makes use of the storehouse. While relaxing in the tatami room, I enjoyed tempura soba and grilled iwana (sweetfish). The soba had a color reminiscent of tea soba, and its smooth texture was pleasant. The tempura, with shrimp and vegetables, was crispy and paired well with the dipping sauce. It was interesting to have an egg as a condiment, and mixing it in halfway through added a fun change in flavor. I could feel the attentiveness of the staff, making for a leisurely and satisfying meal.
