The legendary tonkatsu loved through history

Chintonshan is a historic tonkatsu restaurant run by a single owner who handles everything from cooking to delivery. The balance of tender meat with exquisite seasoning and crispy batter is exceptional, creating a taste that is unforgettable after just one bite. It continues to be a beloved spot in the local community.

This is a takeout-only shop that has been loved for a long time. The pork cutlet is tender, and the flavor of the meat spreads as you chew. The finely textured batter is light, and it was delicious even without sauce. The breadcrumbs are made from white bread, giving it a smooth texture. The large shrimp tempura is sweet and fluffy, and it pairs perfectly with the cabbage. The rice is fluffy and still tasty even when cold, and I also enjoyed the rustic flavor of the potato salad.
