A special space where history and flavor intersect

Morita Ajinoyakata is a unique facility operated by Morita Co., Ltd., a historic sake brewing company. The facility has been renovated from a 160-year-old miso warehouse, allowing visitors to enjoy flavors from multiple perspectives. The exquisite dishes, particularly those using Haccho miso, pair exceptionally well with pork. One of the attractions is the opportunity to savor a variety of Morita's flavors, including soy sauce, miso, and locally brewed sake.

The calm atmosphere created by the old brewery is wonderful. I enjoyed miso-nikomi udon in the dining area, and I was satisfied with the generous amount of ingredients and the good texture of the noodles. Although it is slightly different from the standard in Nagoya, the interesting presentation in a pot with a hole in the lid and the delicious taste made it enjoyable. The miso oden was also delicious. Inside the store, you can enjoy shopping for soy sauce, miso, sake, and also Nara-zuke. There are exhibits with large barrels and a museum, making it a place where you can learn and even take factory tours.
