Kiyoken's bento that blends tradition and innovation

Kiyoken Takashimaya Kashiwa is a renowned establishment with over 110 years of history, located on the B1F of Takashimaya near JR Kashiwa Station. Famous for its shumai, the rich flavors are loved by many. The limited-edition shrimp shumai bento and makunouchi bento are highly praised, especially for the plump texture and rich taste of the shrimp shumai, which is delicious on its own. The restaurant continues to inherit the DNA of traditional shumai while also challenging itself with new flavors.

When I warm up the classic shumai I brought back from the department store basement at home, I can really feel the richness and elasticity of the meat. Adding a little sauce or mustard changes the flavor, making it so delicious that I can't stop eating. The rice in the shumai bento is shaped like a small pillow, with each grain standing out, and it remains fluffy even when cold. The side dishes, such as simmered bamboo shoots, rolled omelet, and fried chicken, are all seasoned carefully, and each one is very satisfying. The limited-edition makunouchi bento is packed with a variety of side dishes centered around shumai, offering a luxurious yet harmonious taste. I'm also very curious about the special shumai that was sold out.
