Marukawa Miso, which has been in business for 100 years, offers naturally brewed miso that is brewed in-house with natural koji mold and laid down for one year in 100-year-old wooden barrels. In addition, the company also sells natural foods, and the managing director and employees provide detailed explanations. Their dry miso is full of flavor and richness, and is made with domestic organic ingredients and traditional recipes. The Marukawa Miso label also details the acreage of soybeans and rice used to make the miso, as well as the pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and herbicides used. Marukawa Miso offers organic and additive-free foods, which her daughter seems to like very much.
