Upon entering the Showa retro-style interior, the POP sign proclaiming 'Invincible Curry Udon' immediately catches the eye. The star dish, curry udon, is served on a flat plate rather than in a bowl, and just the appearance is already exciting. The chewy, thick noodles are coated in rich curry, topped generously with fukujinzuke (pickled vegetables), boiled eggs, and thick slices of meat resembling chashu, providing a great sense of satisfaction. The strong elasticity felt with each bite is a texture that appeals even to those who love dipping noodles. The miso-nikomi udon is also deeply flavorful, and as I continued eating, I felt warm all over. The attentive service, characteristic of a family-run business, was pleasant, and I thoroughly enjoyed this unique udon world that can only be found here.
