While wandering through a retro alley, I was captivated by the aroma of the original takoyaki, and I couldn't help but stop in my tracks. Here, you can really taste the umami of the broth even without sauce. The bite-sized, chewy dough is gooey, and it pairs perfectly with the texture of the octopus. I heard that it's delicious even when cold, and when I tried it, I was truly surprised that the flavor didn't diminish. Comparing the different flavors in a four-piece assortment was enjoyable, and I couldn't help but reach for the next piece. It's the best to be able to casually munch away in an atmosphere that feels like a time slip.
