In the retro drinking street of Sakurayama, once you step inside, a Showa-era atmosphere gently spreads. There is a counter and a small tatami room, making it feel like you are visiting a relative's house, which is very relaxing. The oshibori (wet towels) and drinks are self-service, and it's a bit fun to grab them from the refrigerator at the entrance. The grilled dishes are perfectly cooked, with the chicken thigh being tender and fragrant with sauce. The contrast between the rich kumquat and the texture of the dried fish in the chōchin (lantern) is irresistible. The owner has a pleasant demeanor, the atmosphere among the customers is friendly, and it's nice that it's easy to get to from the station.
