A casual French restaurant located in Yoshiyama, Kita-ku, Niigata City. I visited for lunch. The restaurant, which is housed in a renovated old private house, has a nice atmosphere, and the desks and other furniture are made of reused scrap wood, giving it a tasteful atmosphere. For the main course, we chose pure white Bianca, a brand-name pig from Agano City. The balsamic sauce was a perfect match. It has a lot of fat, but the balsamic sauce makes it refreshing. Other dishes are also delicious. I was pleased to see that some of the local vegetables were used for their flavorful ingredients. The handmade dessert, a mildly sweet adult pudding, is a must-try.

First dinner at French diner Shimizu. As it was a holiday, the restaurant was fully booked, reservations only. Appetizers included assorted appetizers, liver paste, cold new onion soup, homemade sausage, and onion gratin soup. For the main course, we ordered the Alsace specialty choucroute, braised beef rib with black beer, pasta with spring greens and clams, and Aganohime beef steak. The dinner menu was all delicious, especially the homemade sausage. No preservatives such as nitrites or coloring agents are used, so it is safe and delicious. The natural wines were delicious. The main dishes are all well-prepared, and the quality and quantity are such that one dish per person is too much. A good restaurant with the best food. I would like to know how to make sausages.

This is my second time to have lunch; even though it is the end of a three-day weekend, the restaurant is crowded with female customers. For lunch, you have a choice of two appetizers and one of five entrees. Both appetizers can be ordered for an additional ¥350, and the price of the main dish varies depending on the type. A drink is included, and dessert is available for an additional 300 yen. Actually, I look forward to this dessert the most. Today's Lunch Appetizer Fresh local salad Seiro White Corn Soup Main dish Shrimp in Tomato Sauce Steamed White Fish with Crustacean Sauce Drinks Hot Coffee Orange Juice Dessert I ordered a mildly sweet adult pudding. I am always very satisfied with my visit to this restaurant. We are glad that they use a lot of locally grown vegetables in their dishes, such as the cold soup with white corn from Seirouko as an appetizer. The fresh salad with carrots is also outstanding. The main course is as delicious as it looks, no need for explanation. And above all, the most enjoyable dish, the mildly sweet adult pudding. The pudding was served with a rich, bitter caramel sauce, and a dollop of fresh, sweetened cream. Delicious. If you are in the vicinity of Toyoei, by all means, go there!

On the last day of a three-day weekend, the French Restaurant Shimizu was packed to capacity for lunch. The quality of the food remained the same even though it was crowded. The kitchen's pungent atmosphere is also palpable. #Horoniogani Adult Pudding I am so thankful that they have started offering take-out. I asked for a plate to celebrate my birthday and was amused to see the exact same three desserts on the plate as the set. I am sure that no matter who you come here with, you will always feel at ease. I love the mildly sweet adult pudding.
