This is a small shop with only a counter, located near the shopping street in Sakai Higashi. The interior is new and has a nice atmosphere, and the owner is friendly, making it a comfortable place to be. You can enjoy a variety of obanzai (traditional Japanese side dishes) including fried sanma (mackerel pike), chikuzen-ni (a simmered dish), and a little bit of dried daikon. The oden (Japanese hot pot) includes daikon, thick fried tofu, shumai, shirataki (konjac noodles), and gobo tempura, all of which have a rich flavor from the broth. The meticulous cuts of konjac are particularly well done, providing a pleasant texture. When paired with a bottle of Akaboshi and a fragrant, easy-to-drink chilled sake, it becomes even more satisfying.
