This diner located south of Iwate offers a calming space as soon as you step through the door. The menu is centered around classic dishes, but the care put into each plate is evident. The traditional Chinese soba features a mellow broth with a hint of dried sardines, perfectly complemented by the chewy curly noodles. The katsudon, wrapped in fluffy eggs, has thick, tender meat, and the slightly sweet sauce seeps into the rice, creating a delightful flavor. There are also crispy fried horse mackerel and fragrant grilled chicken, making it hard to resist ordering more. With warm service and a friendly atmosphere where locals gather, I was able to enjoy a pleasant time until the very end.
