I stopped by a calm udon tea house located in a residential area. Once seated, they served a little 'hiyatsu' while I waited, allowing me to enjoy the firmness of the noodles first. The kake udon I ordered had a fragrant broth, and adding katsuobushi later deepened the flavor significantly. The noodles, boiled to a soft texture, were fluffy and chewy, so delicious that I could even taste a hint of sweetness. The tempura changes based on the day's ingredients, and the anago and maitake were crispy and juicy. The interior, run by a family, features a variety of tableware, and there is joy in choosing creative menu items in a relaxed atmosphere.
