A famous soy sauce-based ramen store. Chuka Soba Genroku 3.70 on the food log Open Hours 11:00 - 23:30 Close when soup is gone. Closed Wednesdays Nearest station Asakadai A famous Chinese noodle restaurant near Asakadai Station in Saitama Prefecture. It has been selected as one of the TOP 5000 restaurants in the food log. Nearby is the newly built Summit Asakadai supermarket and "Patisserie Oranje," which was selected as one of the 100 best sweets stores in the food log. Chinese noodle store Genroku is quite small. It is shaped like a hut. At first sight, you may wonder where the ramen shop is. You might miss it. Inside the restaurant, there are three seats at the counter and four seats at tables. The system is to purchase tickets in advance from a ticket vending machine. The restaurant is small, but the taste is first-rate. It has the aroma of a famous restaurant. I recommend the Shoyu Soba. However, since I ordered and ate it on my last visit, I chose another menu item this time. The menu of this time is as follows. Thick simmered dried fish tsuke-soba 850 yen Since I had skipped breakfast, I wanted to eat a thick and rich ramen, so I ordered the thick niboshi tsuke-soba. I waited for about 10 minutes. The tsukemen noodles arrived, looking exactly as I had expected. When I sipped the soup, I found the richness of niboshi (dried sardines) and a nice bitter taste that lingered in my mouth. The soy sauce is not too strong, but it is just the base of the soup, so it makes a good statement. The complexity of the flavor is reproduced by the sweetness of the dried sardines, soy sauce, and onions. The ramen is exactly what I expected and would cost more than 1,000 yen if it were in Tokyo. It was as good as "Hifumi" in Chiba and "Inoue" in Kanagawa, both of which are also in the same Nibonibo family of ramen stores. I can recommend this store to all lovers of niboshi ramen.
